Cost of Service Our 2005 – 2006 client costs of service have not changed from our 2004 – 2005 Rochester Equine Clinic (REC) prices. In fact, many of our total bills have decreased due to a reduction in overhead expenses. We have no hospital mortgage. Our employee/owner costs have been markedly reduced in spite of an increase in the quality of service. All our new imaging modalities are, and will be totally subsidized by the new services they provide. Initial set up costs are borne totally by outside owner subsidy. The REC began with my belief that high quality service could be provided to New England horse owners at a fair price. Myhre Equine Clinic (MEC) had renewed that mission, providing a service for everyone, not just the wealthy or insured. We also realize that insurance has its limits and that in this economic environment, we need to conserve our insurance dollars for the important medical expenses. MEC will work with your veterinarian and farrier to provide the best diagnostics and treatment at the best price available. We all at MEC appreciate that we are serving you and your horse, and we promise to provide a quality, caring service at an affordable price. |
