After a diagnosis of a lameness problem has been made, we can design a rehabilitation program for your horse after the initial treatment. Depending on the specific kind of injury or lameness, we will monitor the stages of rehabilitation with rechecks and evaluations [with your veterinarian], making adaptations in the program based on the results. Rehabilitation services and lay-up board is available on-site, at High Knoll Equestrian Center. We can teach the rider, owner and trainer how to perform certain techniques (bandaging, massage, passive movements) and lunging or under saddle exercises that can contribute towards the horse improving his condition, if not regaining full athletic capacity. We can also provide clients with information on issues that affect a horse's performance, such as tack fit, arena footing, shoeing, etc.
